How do I download a file from FileFactory?

In order to download a file, you first need to know the URL of the file. An example of what a URL looks like is this:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/123abc/n/filename

Next you need to paste this URL into the address bar of your browser.

Browsers which we recommend are the latest versions of FireFox, Safari or Internet Explorer. Please note we no longer support Internet Explorer 6.

If you are a Basic or free user you will see a download page. Normally there will be advertisements at the top of the page, followed by some information about FileFactory Premium. Here you can upgrade to FileFactory Premium if you wish.

At the bottom of the page is your download link. Click on the link to be taken to the next page.

On the next page you will normally see a download timer (wait time). The usual wait time is 30 seconds. This is where we get the download ready for you. If you have recently downloaded a file, you may need to wait longer than 30 seconds for the download link to appear.

If the download time does not move or count down, it is most likely a problem with your browser. Please upgrade your browser to the latest version of FireFox, Safari or Internet Explorer.

Once the download timer ends, you will be presented with the download link of the file. You may now begin downloading. The file will be downloaded to your desktop, or another location which you select on your computer.
