FileFactory Launches New Remote Uploader System

Today we launched an improved remote uploader. The remote uploader is now available through our home page, rather than being listed in the Tools section of the site.

Here are the improvements we’ve made:

  1. More reliable. The remote uploader has been rewritten so it will fail less often. We are now experiencing a very low failure rate.

  2. New status window. Instead of tracking your remote uploads through your file manager, you can now see the status of your remote uploads in the remote uploader itself. You can also remove remote uploads from the list, retry failed uploads, or clear the remote uploads altogether.

  3. The remote uploader now remembers the last type of remote upload you completed and automatically selects it next time, so you don’t have to select that option again from the pull down list.

  4. You can create a new folder from within the remote upload tab, rather than having to create a new folder in the file manager and then come back to the remote uploader.
